This is the traditional 100% natural mate calabash directly made in Argentina!
This artisanal gourd is a natural container. Traditionally, it is with it that we sip mate . It is one of the most popular accessories in Latin America ! On this model, the craftsmen added a metal finish to prevent overflows.
The calabash is in fact a local fruit which, once dried, becomes a gourd.
It is then engraved with our “Mimaté” logo by hand by Argentinian artisans.
Each fruit being unique, the gourd which is made by hand in each of them is also unique. Therefore, the calabash you receive may be slightly different from the one shown in the photo.
It is the essential accessory for all lovers of mate and its preparation!

Mate is prepared in a gourd (the calabash) and drunk with a filtering straw (the bombilla). Preparation is quick and easy, it just requires a little practice.

To prepare a traditional mate you need around 25 to 35g of herb to half fill the calabash.
With a 250g bag: ~10 mates
With a 500g bag: ~20 mates
With a 1kg bag: ~40 mates
Don't forget: Each mate can be re-infused ten times.
Our mate comes from an exceptional culture, it is possible to reinfuse it between 10 and 15 times during the day without changing the herb.
