The bombilla is a straw with a very fine filter which allows you to drink traditional mate without swallowing small pieces of mate.

Mate is prepared in 4 simple steps:

1. Fill the cup (called a calabash) with yerba mate 3/4.

2. Cover the gourd with your hand. Turn it over and shake it to form a “mountain” of mate on one side of the gourd.

3. Pour cold water into the hollow of this mountain and insert the bombilla (taking care to block its end with your thumb).

4. Add hot water (not boiling) to the hollow of the mountain to infuse the mate.

How to prepare mate with the infusion bottle in 6 simple steps:

1. Open the bottle and remove the built-in infuser
2. Fill the mate infuser completely (or at least 3/4)
3. Fill the bottle with very hot water (70/80°C, especially not boiling)
4. Return the infuser filled with mate to the bottle
5. Leave to infuse for between 02 and 05 minutes (depending on the intensity of the desired mate taste)
6. Remove the infuser and throw the infused mate in the trash.

And there you have it, your mate is ready! Good energizing infusion ;)
